There's a new version of "If You Wear That Velvet Dress" (which is originally on Pop, Laur), a collaberation between Jools Holland (& his rhythm and blues orchestra) and Bono. Bono goes Sinatra? something like that, anyway...wonderful vocal, in any event. I found it on KaZaA, so it's out there. (Or, if anyone knows their e-mail system will cope with an mp3, I can send it. ^_^)

Random U2 story of the moment:
"At the Brit awards at the end of the '80s, in the days when U2 began to own copyright on the 'Best International Band' Award, a "refreshed" then-editor of Smash Hits pop gazette sallied up to Adam Clayton and said something completely idiotic. The bassman curled a lip, champagne glass aloft, and said, in the poshest voice imaginable, "Clear aaawff!!!" For years thereafter he was known to a nation of pop people as Adam 'Clear Off' Clayton.
"Mahahargh!" explodes Adam, rolling around the sofa, "clear aaaawff! Ahawgawgaw! My goodness! My gosh. Well... I certainly don't remember." "

..I'm just amused by this writer's constant attempts to reproduce U2-noises...Bono says meheheh, as does Adam...Edge says heheheh...et cetera.
